I was truly honored to receive this official recognition from the Government of Thailand. While our gym is based in Tracy, California, I had the opportunity to travel to my friend Kru John’s gym in Fullerton to formally accept the award. It was a proud and humbling moment—not just for me, but for everyone who has been part of our journey in building and growing our Muay Thai program.
This certification represents much more than a title. It is a symbol of trust and respect from the Thai government, acknowledging our commitment to preserving the cultural integrity, technical excellence, and spiritual heart of Muay Thai. To be recognized by the Sports Authority of Thailand and its affiliated governing bodies is a tremendous honor—one that reflects the hard work, discipline, and passion we bring to our training every day.
Our gym in Tracy is now officially recognized as a Standard Muay Thai Gym (SMG) under the guidance of the Thai Government, the Board of Boxing, the Sports Authority, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. This designation is awarded only to gyms that meet rigorous standards in coaching, facility quality, and cultural preservation. It also allows us the opportunity to send athletes to compete in sanctioned Muay Thai events, representing not only our gym, but the authenticity and spirit of traditional Muay Thai on an international level.
I’m deeply grateful for the support of our students, instructors, and community members who have made this possible. Receiving this award is not the end of a journey—it’s a milestone that challenges us to keep striving for excellence, to honor the traditions we’ve inherited, and to pass them forward with integrity and care.
