I saw this list, and it spoke to me in the kind of way a loaded gun speaks when it’s pressed against your temple—clear, immediate, and without room for interpretation. So here’s my version, straight, no chaser:
1. Cut corners. There’s no express lane to being a savage. Every shortcut you take is just another hole you’re digging for yourself, and sooner or later, you’ll fall in.
2. Whine and complain. No one cares. The world doesn’t hand out tissues and pats on the back. If you have energy to cry about it, you have energy to fix it.
3. Make excuses. Excuses are lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. But deep down, you know. And your teammates know. And when the time comes, you’ll be the one they don’t trust.
4. Act selfishly. This isn’t a solo act. You don’t fight alone. You don’t train alone. You don’t bleed alone. If you put yourself above the team, you’re already a liability.
5. Disrespect each other. If you can’t respect the people sweating next to you, pushing you, holding pads for you, trusting you—then get the hell out.
6. Divide the team. Weak minds spread poison like a sickness. One infection and the whole damn thing rots from the inside. That’s how cultures die.
7. Trash the coaches. If you think you know better, go prove it. Step out there without a team, without guidance, without experience—see how long you last before you get folded in half.
8. Embarrass the team name. You wear that name like a brand. Every time you fight, train, or speak, you represent something bigger than yourself. If you don’t take that seriously, leave before you stain it.
9. Give up. Giving up is a disease. Once you let it in, it owns you. Quitting once makes it easier to quit again, until one day you wake up and realize you’ve been running from the hard shit your whole life.
10. Let teammates down. When you’re in that room, on that mat, under that weight—you either hold the line or you get out of the way. There’s no in-between.
Championship cultures aren’t built by the comfortable. They’re built by people who embrace the grind, the pain, the suffering—because they know the only way out is through.
