What an Incredible Weekend!
20+ hours of intense, hands-on instruction in the intricacies of Muay Thai scoring, refereeing, and judging with none other than Kru Pete Peterson—widely regarded as the USA’s premier traditional Muay Thai referee. Kru Pete has officiated at the most prestigious stadiums and international events around the world, including Bangkok, Thailand.
He and his wife also run the Thai Boxing Association (TBA) Classic, the largest Muay Thai tournament in the U.S., attracting top athletes every year.
This weekend, over 40 coaches from across the country came together, diving deep into:
✅ What truly scores in international Muay Thai—by Thailand’s standards, not just local rule sets.
✅ The art of judging and refereeing at the highest level.
✅ Countless scenarios, challenges, and “what ifs” in the sport.
The level of knowledge shared was incredible, and the group truly pushed each other to learn and grow. It was a humbling reminder of how much there is to learn when striving for mastery.
